Alabama to execute a man who said he's guilty of rape and murder and deserves to die
James Osgood, convicted of the 2010 rape and murder of Tracy Lynn Brown in Alabama, is set to be executed by lethal injection. Osgood dropped his appeals, admitting guilt and expressing remorse to Brown's family. His initial death sentence was overturned but reinstated in 2018 after he requested execution, sparing further legal proceedings.
