MSNBC host singles out 'soul-crushing' moment for Marco Rubio during Zelensky attack

On Monday morning, a grim-faced panel on MSNBC's "Morning Joe" had their first chance to weigh in on Donald Trump and Vice President J.D. Vance teaming up and attacking Ukraine President Volodymyr Zelensky in front of reporters late Friday.
After sharing clips of Vance and the president haranguing the leader of the war-torn nation, demanding thanks and fealty, co-host Joe Scarborough changed the focus to Secretary of State Marco Rubio who sat slumped on a couch during the meetingand failed to speak up after being a reliable ally of Ukraine since Russia's unprovoked invasion three years ago.
In particular, he noted Zelensky being berated by Real America’s Voice personality Brian Glenn, who is best known as Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene's boyfriend, for not wearing a suit.

That moment, Scarborough noted, seemed to take Rubio out of the game as a spokesperson for Trump's foreign policy.
"It was when the question was asked about the suit, it really was, you can see that was a soul-crushing experience for a life-long Russia hawk," Scarborough told his panel as his producers highlight a photo of the former Florida Republican senator slumped next to Vance.
"The question asked by a reporter from a conservative outlet let into the Oval Office because of how the White House has changed the press pool access," contributed co-host Jonathan Lemire.
